Nokia announces Lumia 505 with Windows Phone 7.8

Nokia announces the brand new mobile in their Lumia series with updated Windows Phone 7.8 Windows mobile operating system. Nokia Lumia 505 comes with improved 8 MP Camera and 480 x 800 display with 4 GB Internal memory and 256 MB RAM. Lumia 505 also has a significant improvement of battery life over other low budget Nokia Lumia mobiles.

Lumia 505 claims 7.2 hours of talk time and 600 hours of standby time (both over 3G) from the 1300mAh battery that the Lumia 505 highlights.

Windows Phone 7.8 also doubles the number of theme and accent colors to 20 and adds other new lock screen features: the option to automatically display the Bing Picture of the Day plus the 'A1B2C3' PIN/password challenge to prevent accidental device wipes on phones connected to Exchange accounts.

Price or availability of the Nokia Lumia 505 not disclosed officially, Nokia's plans to launch this smartphone in markets outside Mexico. Price is to be around $249

Nokia Lumia expected to available in Q1 2013 (January / February).
