Android Pie update for Nokia 8 is now available

Back in December, Nokia has announced the roll out of android pie stable update for Nokia 8 smartphone, but due to some bugs they were halted this software roll out. After few weeks of interval, again the company has started to push the android pie update to selected markets. The report suggests the pie update is now available in the following regions – India, UK, UAE, Jordan, Australia, Romania, Slovenia, Poland and Mexico.

The screenshot reveals the software update will arrive as OTA and it weighs around 1.57 GB (1572.9MB). It carries the new version number V5.110 and also update the android version to 9.0. As the download size is very huge so use recommended connection like WiFi to download this firmware. The android pie features gesture navigation, digital wellbeing, adaptive battery saver, adaptive brightness, app actions, app timers and so on. The OTA update also installs the December 2018 security patch on this device.

Apart from these features, the firmware will enhance the system stability and perform bug fixes. They were rolling out this android pie update in batchwise, so the availability will vary by region. You can also check for the update manually from Settings > About Phone. Before downloading charge the device battery level above 50 percent and use uninterrupted internet connection to avoid disconnection and errors.

Yesterday, Juho Sarvikas (Chief Produce Officer of HMD Global) has revealed the android pie roadmap for its list of Nokia phones. He mentioned that the Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 5 users can expect the android pie roll out later this week.
