Nokia 7 Plus getting Android 9 Pie Beta 4 (Final Beta) update

Earlier this week, Google has officially released the Android 9 Pie stable version and also rolled out this update for their Pixel series devices. After this official release, every mobile brands has speed-up their work to bring this stable update for their users. HMD Global has joined in this line-up by rolling out the Android 9 Pie Beta 4 version for Nokia 7 Plus (Android One) owners.

Nokia has confirmed this software update release on their official twitter page and they’ve named this update as Developer Preview 4 (DP4). The report says, this beta update is now available for Nokia 7 Plus Indian units (TA-1047).

This Android Pie beta firmware brings lots of new features – Adaptive brightness, Adaptive Battery mode, revamped quick settings menu, predictive app actions, July month Google security patch, tweaked notifications and other performance related boosts. Along with this it also adds Android Pie’s new gesture navigation feature to this device. This information has been confirmed by Juho Sarvikas (CPO of HMD) on his twitter page. He also says this is the final stage of beta update, which means the Android 9 Pie stable release is very close for Nokia 7 Plus devices.

The existing beta members will receive this DP4 or Beta 4 software update via OTA. This final beta release weighs in big 1.4 GB (1480.5 MB). So use faster internet connections like WiFi to download this update. The beta participants can also manually check for software update from Settings menu.
