Nokia 7 Plus finally getting Android 9.0 Pie stable update

Update: Followed by India, Nokia expanding the Android 9.0 Pie stable roll out to other global markets.

For the past few days, HMD Global has tested the Android Pie beta version on Nokia 7 Plus with beta testers. Now they’ve started to roll out the stable version of Android 9.0 Pie update for them. It has been officially confirmed by Nokia via twitter post and some users have shared the update screenshots in comments.

Android 9 Pie for Nokia 7 Plus device adds new camera v9.0, revamped camera UI, Google lens, Google motion integration, tweaked adaptive brightness levels, adaptive battery power with machine learning technology, predictive app actions, new system navigation, improved notification section and still enhancements are there.

This major software update will arrive as OTA and it weighs in very huge size 1.47 GB (1471.3 MB). If you own Nokia 7 Plus, you will automatically receive the prompt for the firmware update. The OTA roll out will happen in phases, so the availability will vary by region. Optionally you can also initiate the update manually from Settings menu > About phone. Before checking for the update charge your device battery above 50 percent and use WiFi connection to avoid disconnection.
