Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact are now official and also up for preorder

Sony has unveiled two new high-end range smartphones in XZ series at IFA 2017 event. The new additions are named as Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact. These two flagship smartphones are now available for preorder in Europe. The Carphone warehouse retailer is now accepting the preorder and also reveals the pricing options.

The Xperia XZ1 unlocked version will launch in Europe for €699 (or £599 in UK). Also available to buy in contract plans which starts from £44/month. This retailer has listed three color options Black, Blue and Silver. If you preorder Xperia XZ1 at this retailer you will get a free Sony headphone worth £250.  The delivery of this device will begin from September 22.

Next one Xperia XZ1 Compact, the price of unlocked model will be €599 (or £499 in UK). It’s also available for preorder at amazon retailer. The contract plan for this device starts from £35 per month. The carphone warehouse specifies the shipping date as September 29 but the amazon claims the delivery date as September 19. It will release in three colors black, blue and pink.

Specs of XZ1 and XZ1 Compact:

Both Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact have some similar features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, octa core processor, 4GB RAM, android 8.0 oreo os, microSD card, corning gorilla glass 5, IP65/68 water resistant, Fingerprint, NFC, Type-C USB, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE and 2700 mAh battery. Except these other specs will differ for both handsets.

The Xperia XZ1 comes with 5.2-inch Full HD display while the Xperia XZ1 Compact sports 4.6-inch HD display. Memory options for Xperia XZ1 are 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. But the Xperia Xz1 Compact houses 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. Coming to camera, the XZ1 has 19MP (Motion Eye) at back and 13MP for selfie. The XZ1 Compact also has 19MP main camera but the selfie camera downgraded to 8MP.
