Back in August, Sony has revealed the list of that are eligible to receive Android 9.0 Pie update, also hinted the roll out for high-end mobiles will start from November. It looks like Sony has released the Android Pie update earlier for these handsets Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact. This major firmware update is now live in several regions and many of them have upgraded their device to latest version.
According to the report, this software update will arrive as OTA and weighs in 1059 MB (1.05 GB). It will update build number of both handsets to 52.0.A.3.27 (previous version 51.1.A.11.51. Also installs the October month android security patch on these devices.
Android Pie for Xperia XZ2 series brings navigation gestures, adaptive battery with machine learning, adaptive brightness, app actions, revamped camera app and more exciting features are there. If you own any of these two devices, connect it to WiFi network to receive the automatic OTA update. Before installing the firmware update, charge you device above 50% and back up your personal files for safety purpose. Suppose if you didn’t receive the automatic OTA update means, then try to invoke the update manually from Settings menu.
