Sony Xperia S Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean update rolled out

It was rumored last month that the Sony Xperia S will be getting Jelly bean update in May. As per rumored already Sony has rolled out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update now. Sony France has confirmed the Jelly Bean update for the Sony Xperia S. Sony has posted in its official page about the jelly bean update. Sony Xperia S was initially launched with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Operating system on February 2012. Sony had rolled out the update one year after the launch.

The user can update the software via the Sony’s PC companion software. Sony's French Twitter account has tweeted the information that Xperia S’s deployment of Android 4.1.2 has just begun for the 1st builds FR.The software update version is 6.1.A.2. The user can check the update through the Settings-> about phone -> Build number / version.

Also the update provides some of the features to the smartphone. The one of the features is Sony’s new media experience with Walkman, Album and Movies application. Also the lock screen feature with improved functionality.Also provide with Resizable widgets, Data consumption control, and recent app button for the applications. The user will receive the update notification as soon as possible.
