Sony debuts Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2 line-up

As the CES 2018 has started several manufacturers are presenting their innovative products at this event. Today at this event, Sony has introduced three new successor smartphones with refreshed design. The latest arrivals are named as Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2. The first two devices XA2 and XA2 Ultra will launch as mid-range section and the Xperia L2 will target on entry-level users.

Unfortunately the company didn’t reveal the pricing of these smartphones, but confirmed the availability. Sony has scheduled to roll out the Xperia XA2 series handsets from February 2018 while the Xperia L2 will release in late January 2018. Let’s see some highlighted hardware specs of these handsets.

Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra

The xperia xa2 comes with 5.2-inch 1080p border-less display, corning gorilla glass covered front, dual/single sim, android 8.0 oreo os, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset and octa core processor. Memory options are 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and also support expandable microSD card (up to 256GB).

At back Sony has placed 23MP main camera that can record 4K videos and 120 FPS slow motion videos. Coming to front, it sports 8MP camera that can shot 120 degree wide angle selfies. The battery capacity of XA2 is 3300 mAh that will be compatible with quick charge 3.0.

Next one Xperia XA2 Ultra, it has 6-inch upgraded display with same 1080p border-less screen and gorilla glass protection. The android os version and chipsets are identical to Xperia XA2. This handset arrives in two storage variants 32GB / 64GB and both are equipped with 4GB RAM and an expandable microSD card slot.

Coming to rear camera, it also has same 23MP camera with 4K video recording support. The ultra model houses dual selfie camera lens 16MP + 8MP that includes OIS sensor, wide angle lens, selfie flash and more. They’ve upgraded the battery of XA2 Ultra to 3580 mAh which also support quick charge 3.0.

Other common features on both handsets are– NFC, fingerprint sensor, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD audio, 4G LTE, Type-C USB, A-GNSS, Clear Audio+ and more. Available color options of XA2 and XA2 Ultra are Black, Blue, Gold and Silver.

Xperia L2

The xperia l2 comes with 5.5-inch HD display that has been protected by corning gorilla glass. Unlike XA2 series, this handset runs on Android Nougat os which will be powered by Mediatek MT6737T chipset and quad core processor. This entry-level handset has 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage and microSD card slot for memory expansion.

It has 13MP single main camera at back and 8MP single front camera for selfies.  Connectivity options are fingerprint back-mounted, NFC, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, Type-C USB and more. It packed with decent battery 3300 mAh and supports Qnovo adaptive charging technology. It will be available in three colors – black, gold and pink.
