AT&T Sony Xperia TL Jelly Bean update

AT&T started to roll out the Android Jelly bean update for its devices this month. AT&T version of the Sony Xperia TL smartphone Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is officially available now. Sony Xperia TL is the US version of the "James Bond” smart phone.

Android 4.1 Jelly bean update comes with usual goodies native to Jelly Bean along with the AT&T’s DriveMode application. AT&T DriveMode is an exclusive app that helps curb texting and driving. This allows user to set-up customizable replies and sends it automatically in response to incoming messages once a vehicle starts moving at 25mph. The application also allows reply to texts, emails and wireless callers.

Update includes the enhancement in changes to the notification display that group updates from the same application together, and allow you to expand or collapse notifications. Users can able to view the full text of an SMS and MMS in the notification window.  Update also includes the data usage calculator that allows user to set a limit on your data usage each month.

Update also provides the enhancement in camera interface with Superior Auto mode that automatically selects the best settings and new HDR capabilities which takes three pictures in different light conditions and combines them into one photo. Battery life with an improved power management feature also included.

The update notification will pop up on your smartphone otherwise update  via connecting to Wi-Fi and selecting 'Applications', 'Settings', 'About phone' and 'Software update'. AT&T's senior product marketing manager, Shayan Rezvani, wrote in a blog post on Tuesday about the update.
