BlackBerry rolled out the 10.1 OS update for BlackBerry Z10

BlackBerry Live 2013 annual conference was held at Orlando on 14th May 2013. In that event BlackBerry’s CEO Thorsten Heins announced the software update for the Blackberry Z10. Blackberry officially announced the latest BlackBerry 10.1 Operating System update to the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. By this update the Z10 will be faster, more effective, most efficient and also the update is free and it is available via the Carriers in the upcoming weeks.The 10.1 OS update brings the lot of enhancements to the smartphone.

BlackBerry Hub helps to access the messages and notifications in one place.

Keyboard Shortcuts that made Q10 shortcuts will work on the Z10's virtual keyboard.

Instant Actions that supports predefined and expandable “action" shortcuts within the Universal Search interface.

PIN to PIN message service for direct communications between the BlackBerry Smartphones.

Customizable notifications provide the vibration, LED responses for the accounts and contacts.

Finer cursor control user can place the cursor exactly where they want.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode for camera that supports multiple pictures at different exposure levels.

Landscape orientation support for Calendar.

Skype is also available with the 10.1 OS update.

For the update look for the alert in the notifications section of the BlackBerry Hub. The user can check for the update via the software update section settings in their Smartphones. There is no need to backup the data before the update. Even though it is better backup the data before the update. Also the update happens in background.
