BlackBerry KEY2 goes official in India, available from July 31

Back in June, BlackBerry has unveiled their new successor smartphone KEY2 with classic qwerty keyboard design for global market. Now they’ve brought this flagship device to Indian region, as well as revealed the price and release date. The company has affirmed that this handset is exclusive to Amazon India and also the retailer has listed this product on their site. The listing has revealed the buy price of KEY2 for India as Rs. 42,990 and the sale will start from July 31.

To recap, BlackBerry KEY2 features 4.5-inch FHD display with 3:2 aspect ratio, covered by corning gorilla glass 3 glass, runs on android 8.1 oreo os, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and octa core processor. Available memory options are 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage and also support expandable memory (up to 2TB).

It has dual main camera lens 12MP + 12MP at back and single 8MP selfie camera lens at front. The highlight of this device is it houses 4-row classic qwerty keyboard design to improve typing speed. It also has fingerprint sensor which has been embedded within the space bar key. Other preloaded features are NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C USB (3.0), Hi-Fi audio, hybrid dual sim slot and so on.

It arrives with 3500 mAh battery (non-removable) which also compatible with Quick Charge 3.0. The KEY2 handset will be available only in black color.
