After some leaks, Vivo has finally unveiled the global version of Vivo S1 smartphone in Indonesian region. Vivo has already launched the smartphone under the moniker Vivo S1 (rebranded Vivo V15) in China on May 2019. Unlike the Chinese model, this global version differs in design, hardware specs, especially the Helio P65 chipset. Of course it is the first device in world to feature this new chipset.
Vivo S1 features 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, waterdrop notch, running on android 9 pie os with Funtouch OS 6.0 UI on top, powered by Mediatek Helio P65 chipset and 2 GHz octa core processor. Memory options are 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and also supports expandable storage up to 256GB.
At back this device houses triple camera setup 16MP + 8MP + 2MP and at front it has 32MP selfie camera. This device uses in-display fingerprint sensor that can be unlocked faster. Other preloaded features are WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, OTG, Ultra Game Mode, dual 4G VoLTE, Micro USB slot, smart button and so on. It packed with 4500 mAh battery that compatible with dual-engine fast charge. Available color options are cosmic green and skyline blue.
Right now this handset is available for preorder in Indonesia via online retailer and the retail price is 3599,000 IDR (Rs.17,720 / $258 USD). The retailer confirmed this handset will be shipped to pre-ordered users within 15 days i.e. before the end of July 31. According to source, Vivo has also planned to bring this Vivo S1 device to India and the launch will happen in August.
