AT&T released Kitkat update for HTC One Mini and Galaxy Note 3

AT&T US Wireless network provider released Android 4.4.2 firmware update for Samsung galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Mini devices. These updates has improved user interface, camera performance and more features. AT&T officially posted the list of enhancements for Android Kitkat 4.4.2 update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3:

Improved User Interface – Restyled status and navigation bars, a new full screen immersive mode, improved closed captioning support, stronger security and smarter power use.

Default Messaging App – User can choose default messaging app if multiple messaging services are installed.

Camera Access - User can directly access camera from the lock screen

Improved GPS performance and Enhanced Music Access (Media controls are available from lock screen music when hearing music).

New Sound Controls – User can define sound for specific Samsung apps

Wireless – wireless printing options are added

HTC One Mini:

The Kitkat update for HTC One Mini includes HTC Sense 5.5, improved user interface, HTC BlinkFeed and more enhancements.

Improved User Interface - Restyled status and navigation bars, a new full screen immersive mode, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, smarter power use and enhanced bluetooth options.

HTC BlinkFeed – User can set favorite content at home screen and it will constantly refresh when you turn on your screen.

Enhanced Email UI – It has same look provide by Gmail but includes in-line editing options.

Camera App and Music controls - The user can access the camera and music control keys if the screen is locked.

Immersive View – It supports Full Screen view for books, videos and games.

Caller ID – When you received a call from a phone number not stored in your contact list, it will search the contact information using Google maps.

Phone Dialer – User can search and find contact directly from Dial pad

The user can manually check for updates using their Settings Menu. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users follow the below procedure to check for updates, Choose Settings > More Tab > About Device > Software Update > Check for updates. HTC One Mini users choose Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Download. After download the file choose install option, the device will be automatically restarted and install your update file.
