HTC U11 Life now getting Android 9.0 Pie Update

Google officially presented the new Android 9 Pie os on August 2018, every manufacturers have started to roll out this software update for their users. However, HTC brand is still delaying this android pie roll out for their users and none of the devices have been upgraded to the latest version. Now the HTC has finally rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie update for U11 Life (Android One) handset, which was launched in November 2017. Also it’s the first device from HTC which receives the android pie update.

This software roll out has been officially confirmed by the user and also posted the screenshot on social page. According to that HTC is now seeding this firmware update in European region. The download size of this major update will be in 720.3 MB and comes as OTA. The android pie includes several new features such as adaptive brightness, adaptive battery, app actions, gesture navigation, Digital wellbeing, notification tweaks and so on. Along with this features, it also updates the android security patch level to October 2018.

Note HTC now seeding this OTA update in selected regions of Europe, so you want to wait for your turn. You can also check for the update manually from Settings > About Phone, to know whether the android pie is available in your region or not. This major update will take some time for installation, so before downloading this update charge you device battery above 50% to avoid unexpected errors. Soon the manufacturer will announce the global roll out of Android 9.0 Pie update.
