HTC U12+ officially unveiled with four cameras and HDR10 display

After lots of rumors, HTC has globally presented their new flagship smartphone HTC U12 Plus through a live launching event. It’s the successor version of HTC U11+ which was launched in November 2017. According to the latest report, HTC has faced heavy financial loss in its Q4, but this new device launch has confirmed that they’ve no idea to give up from smartphone industry. Followed by the announcement, this handset goes for preorder in major key markets like USA, UK and other European countries.

The listing has also revealed the price and availability of this smartphone. The launch price of HTC U12 Plus will be $799 for 64GB model and $849 for 128GB model. It arrives in three optional colors Translucent Blue, Ceramic Black and Flame Red. HTC has planned to roll out this device in U.S from June 2018. It will also work with U.S carriers networks such as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.

HTC U12 Plus comes with 6-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440) Super LCD 6 display, HDR 10 compliant and covered by corning gorilla glass. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo os (upgradeable to Android P), which has been customized by HTC Sense UI. Performance wise, it sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and octa core processor (clocks at 2.8 GHz). It will release in two variants 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. Both versions support expandable storage slot via Micro SD (up to 2TB).

Talking about camera, it has 12MP + 16MP dual rear camera lens with 4K video recording, HDR Boost 2, 3D audio recording, slow motion video, UltraSpeed Autofocus 2 and more. It also has dual selfie cameras 8MP + 8MP and supports 1080p video recording, HDR Boost, live make-up, and more.

Other preloaded features are Edge Sensor 2.0, IP68 water & dust proof, Hi-Res audio, fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi (dual band), HTC U Sonic, Type-C USB (USB 3.1 Gen 1), pressure sensitive buttons and more. It packed with 3500 mAh non-removable battery and also compatible with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
