Earlier this week, Xiaomi has upgraded the Redmi Y2 users to MIUI 10 update. Now the Redmi Note 5 users has also started to receive this software update too. We’ve also attached the screenshot of this update which confirms that it’s a stable release. As per the image, the latest firmware update will bump the MIUI version to 10.0.1.0.OEIMIFH. It weighs little bit high 580 MB, so use WiFi connection for download.
MIUI 10 brings new full screen gestures, refreshed UI, natural sound system, refreshed recent apps, enhanced swipe response, redesigned volume sliders, refreshed notification panel, update for system apps and more are there. This update will also install the September 1 2018 security patch on this device.
This major software update will arrive be available for download via OTA in phases. Mostly users will receive the automatic prompt for OTA updates. Suppose if you didn’t receive the automatic pop-up, then try to initiate the update manually from Settings > About phone > System Update.
