Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II now available at Verizon

The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II is now available for purchase from Verizon Wireless. The original Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere was the first Verizon LTE enabled smartphone with a physical side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.  The Samsung Stratosphere II was officially announced a couple of weeks ago, and now available for sale in Verizon.

The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II comes with a 4-inch 480×800 Super AMOLED touchscreen with WVGA resolution with pixel density of 233ppi for high quality video entertainment, S-Beam uses NFC to easily  share photos and videos to other compatible devices, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of built-in storage space, microSD expansion support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1,800 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Verizon is offering the Samsung Stratosphere II online for $129.99 with a signed two-year contract. That includes a $50 web discount, then the QWERTY keyboard  that should make it excellent for e-mail and text messaging buffs will be this phone’s main selling point. There are very few Android smartphones that come with physical keyboards in this day.
