Unlocked Moto Z in U.S getting Android Nougat 7.0 update

Back in November 2016, Motorola upgraded the Verizon powered Moto Z devices to Nougat. Due to some reasons the company didn’t pushes the Nougat OS for unlocked models. Recently Motorola has also confirmed the software update for unlocked version will release in February. As notified earlier the unlocked Moto Z users are begins to receive Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade in USA. The firmware is already live in U.S and some users shared the update screenshot on social pages.

Nougat Update For Unlocked Moto Z

The software update comes with new version NPL25.86-17-3. It includes android 7.0 version upgrade, November month security patch, Google Daydream VR compatible, multi-tasking feature, enhanced notification controls, improved battery & data saver, moto mods support update, bug fixes and other performance optimizations.

This firmware will be available through OTA which requires with WiFi network to download. After completed the installation you can verify it from About Phone. If you didn’t get the notification check it manually from Settings > About phone > Software update. Soon the company will announce the Nougat 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 update plan for moto range of devices.
