Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 smartphones unveiled

Motorola USA officially announced the next generation of two new smartphones in Droid series named as Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2. It can also be said as successor of Droid Maxx and Droid Turbo. Both of these smartphones are exclusive to Verizon wireless carrier. The moto x play was renamed and launched as Droid Maxx 2 in verizon wireless. The droid turbo 2 is the refreshed version of moto x style. These smartphones are launching in USA on October 29 via verizon wireless.

The two-year contract price of droid turbo 2 will be $26/month or $30/month (with refreshed design). The full retail or contract-free price of this mobile is $624. For droid maxx 2 the full retail and 2-year contract price are $384 and $16 per month. The carrier also offers accessories for discounted price on October 29 launch day.

The droid turbo 2 has 5.4-inch QHD display with Motorola’s Shattershield protection. It comes with 2 GHz octa core processor, android 5.1 lollipop os (upgradeable to android 6.0), qualcomm snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB RAM. It will be available in two on-board storage models 32GB and 64GB. Both models come with microSD card support. It has 21MP back camera and 5MP front camera. Both front and back camera have LED flash support. It features nfc, wifi, advanced calling, bluetooth, gps and more. It comes with 3760 mAh non-removable battery which includes Qi or PMA wireless and turbo charging features.

The droid maxx 2 features are similar to moto x play global version. It has 5.5-inch FHD display, gorilla glass 3 protection, 1.7 GHz octa core processor, qualcomm 615 chipset, android 5.1 lollipop os, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and 128GB expandable memory. It also has 21MP back camera (LED flash) and 5MP front camera (no led flash). It has 3630 mAh battery with 48 hrs of mixed usage.
