Starting of this September, Motorola has begun Android Nougat 7.1.1 soak test roll out for its Moto X Play handsets. The latest report suggests this soak running device has received another Nougat based software update. It brings the fix for Blueborne vulnerability along with September month security patch. Blueborne is a security issue that allows hackers to control your handset via Bluetooth. It’s also spotted in iOS, Windows and Linux OS.

Moto X Play Blueborne Fix Update

According to the screenshot, the update for Moto X Play arrives with new build number NPD26.48-24-1. And also the system version will be bumped to 26.31.1, but the android version will retain at 7.1.1. This security update weighs in small size 15.6 MB. This update will be available only for soak test users so others don’t expect it.

The company didn’t reveal when the Nougat 7.1.1 stable roll out will start for Moto X Play owners. Recently Motorola announced the Android 8.0 Oreo update plans for its handset, but unluckily the Moto X Play device has been omitted by them. Don’t worry many custom ROMS are available for your device.
