Android Lollipop update for Moto G devices rolled out in India

Motorola handset maker is now pushing Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware update to Moto G devices (Gen 1 & Gen 2) in India. This information was tweeted in Motorola Mobility official twitter page. It will roll out in phases so the user needs to wait for their turn to upgrade the device. If you received a notification for software update; then download the update file via WiFi network.

You can also manually check for this software update by selecting Settings > About phone > System Updates. While upgrading your device it may automatically restarts, so backup your required files on removable storage. After the installation verify the updated version from Settings > About phone, the android version will be 5.0.2.
