Android 5.1 update for Verizon Moto E (Gen 2) now available

Verizon wireless officially rolled out the Android 5.1 lollipop update for Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G users. The software update will reach the smartphone via OTA (over-the-air). It requires a WiFi network connection to download the update file. Once the download completed follow the installation instructions that displayed on the device screen. Android 5.1 lollipop key features:

  • Newly added volume settings panel icon in status bar

  • Quick select - This feature will allow the user to quickly access the wifi or bluetooth list from the status bar.

  • Interruption controls – new volume control to increase or reduce the interval time, time schedule for interruption and until next alarm feature to block the interruptions

  • Notification volume controller – It will allow users to manage the notification alert volume while listening to media contents.

  • Factory Reset Security – The stolen devices will be unlocked until the user sign in to google account on the phone. Even the phone getting factory reset it will not unlock.
