Meizu Pro 5 with Ubuntu Edition officially unveiled

Meizu teamed with Canonical manufacturer announced the Ubuntu version of Pro 5 smartphone. The android version of this mobile was launched in October 2015. This will be the first high-end smartphone in Ubuntu series. Including this handset Canonical has launched 5 ubuntu smartphones in last 12 months. The smartphone may be up for preorder on official site at the time of MWC event. The official launch and price of Pro 5 Ubuntu edition will reveal at MWC 2016 event.

The ubuntu version has 5.7-inch AMOLED 1080p display with 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass protection. It comes with Ubuntu os, octa core processor and Samsung Exynos 7420 chipset. It comes in 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage model. The memory can be expandable with microSD card slot (uses sim2 slot). It sports 21.6 MP back camera with PDAF sensor and 5MP selfie camera. The connectivity features are hybrid dual sim, fingerprint sensor, wifi, bluetooth 4.1, Type-C USB 3.0, 4G LTE and more. It has 3050 mAh battery with quick charging technology.
