Verizon Galaxy S8/S8+ getting Google Daydream VR in new update

Verizon wireless begins to roll out new update for Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners. It adds new features to S8/S8+ handsets such as Google Daydream VR, security patches and more are there. The update is now live in USA for both handsets. The galaxy s8 will receive this firmware as G950USQU1AQG4. For galaxy s8+ the update will hit as G955USQU1AQG4. Also Verizon will be the first one to release the Google Daydream for S8 and S8+.

After installing this update you can send animated gifs while on phone call. For that you need to activate Profile sharing option in contacts app. The user can now show or hide navigation bar by tapping the small round button located at the left side of navigation bar. These are the major changes that have been notified by Verizon at their changelog.

Always the carrier will push the software update through OTA. Once the OTA update is available it will be notified if you’ve connected to the internet. To initiate the manual update just go for Settings > About phone > Software updates.
