Samsung Galaxy S8 starts receiving BlueBorne security patch

At last Samsung has released BlueBorne security fix for Galaxy S8 and S8+ handsets. Previously this update was rolled out for Galaxy Note 8 handset. Along with BlueBorne fix, it also includes wireless charging enhancement and some tweaks in navigation bar. The report confirms this software update is available in Netherlands region. Currently the update is rolling out for S8 Plus and the new software version will be G955FXXU1AQI7.

The download file also weighs in large 476.63 MB. However this firmware will not install September month patch that is it will retain at August month. Anyway Samsung will push this software update via OTA in stages. It may hit your device any time so connect to stronger internet network. You can also check for manual update from Settings menu. Soon the company will expand this BlueBorne fix update to other countries and carrier based devices.
