OnePlus 5/5T new open beta brings Google Lens support

Starting of this month, OnePlus has released Open Beta (OP 13/OP 11) updates for OnePlus 5/5T handsets that enables most expected Google Project Treble support. Now the manufacturer is rolling out another set of Open Beta updates for these handsets. The new OxygenOS based beta update will arrive as Open Beta 14 (OnePlus 5) and Open Beta 12 (OnePlus 5T).

What’s new in this update – It adds all new Google Lens feature, reduces the oil painting effect and enhances the photo clarity. Google Lens mode will be embedded within camera options so you can access it directly by launching the camera. That’s all the changelog they’ve specified on official forum page.

OnePlus 5 and 5T Open Beta Update

The eligible users (i.e. beta testers) can download this beta software update via OTA. The screenshot has also revealed the download size of this update as 253 MB. Before downloading the update, charge you mobile battery level above 50 percent and use uninterrupted network connection like WiFi or mobile data. If you face any bugs on this latest beta build you can share your thought on feedback forums.

Are you interested to join in beta program, then download the custom ROM from oneplus forum and flash it on your device. Once installed you will receive only beta updates and don’t expect regular stable builds. To revert back to stable version, download the official ROM from forum and flash it.
