While everyone is looking for Android 8.0 Oreo update, but the Nokia brand has moves forward and rolling out the Android 8.1 Oreo beta update. It has been affirmed by the Juho Sarvikas (CPO of HMD Global) on his twitter page. Users who are registered on the beta labs program are eligible to receive this update.

This major software upgrade is also weighs in big 1553.9 MB (1.5 GB). It also reveals the changelog that are included with in this update – revamped power menu, battery saving navigation buttons, new settings menu, bluetooth battery percentage, January 1 2018 security patch, Neural Network API and more.

Apart from this it will fix the hamburger emoji icon, system enhancements and other bug fixes. To download the beta update you need to sign up for the beta labs program. The existing or new beta members will receive the software update via OTA. This firmware update requires WiFi connection for download. Note once installed this update on your device you can’t revert to previous version. The only way to downgrade is flashing the previous build on your device.
