Sony’s last year flagship mobile Xperia X started to receive a software update. According to the source, the new OTA will update the android security patch level to July 1 2017. This firmware will bump the old version 34.3.A.0.194 to new version 34.3.A.0.206. As for now the update is hitting only the single sim variant (F5121) of Xperia X. Don’t worry dual sim owners (F5122) the update will also be released for your device shortly.
Well the company didn’t disclose the full release notes for this latest firmware update. So we can assume it will also optimize the performance and fixes the known bugs. The security update for Xperia X weighs in 92.8MB. Once installed this patch update you can’t revert to previous software version. Anyway we recommend users to manage minimum battery level and also connect wifi or mobile data network.
