Galaxy Note 8 (Exynos variant) getting Android Oreo update in US

It looks like Samsung has silently pushing the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade for Galaxy Note 8 handsets. The Exynos powered models are currently getting this update in US. Not all users are getting this Oreo update they’ve limited the roll out to specific users. The oreo for Note 8 arrives with new build number R16NW.N950FXXU2CRA1. DM. This software update has been confirmed the reddit user and also posted the installed screenshots on this discussion.

Samsung Note 8 Android Oreo Soak Test

This user says he had received the stable version, but some users suggest it may be the soak test for Note 8. If it’s the soak test means Samsung may limit the Oreo beta program to S8/S8+ and will not expand to Note 8 handsets. If the update is stable then the Note 8 users will be the first one to taste the Android Oreo. The user has also listed the full changelog of Oreo update in this forum.

Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy Note 8 brings Samsung Experience 9.0, PIP mode, keyboard update, autofill API, Colored media notifications, added edge lightning options, notification badges, improvements in secure folder, long press option for specific apps, Samsung pass, Samsung cloud and more.

Recently the Samsung has released its final beta update and notifies the beta program will close on Jan 15. This means the stable oreo update will reach the Galaxy S8 and S8+ users soon.
