Essential Phone now rolling out Android Oreo Beta 3 update

As we know that Essential brand is currently testing the Android Oreo on its Essential Phone (PH1) via Oreo Beta Program. In addition to that the company has released a new beta update which named as Oreo Beta 3. This latest firmware will update your device android version to 8.0 and the build number to OPM1.170911.254. The users can also download the official beta builds from Essential developer overview page.

The company didn’t disclose the full changelog, but some major changes have been revealed by the update screenshot. The oreo beta 3 update adds new features to this device like picture in picture mode, smart text selection, instant apps, improved booting speed & app sign-in and Google Play Protect security scans.

The following are the list of issues that will be fixed from the previous beta build (Beta 2) - improves the Misc Stability, fixes the Spectre and Meltdown security issue and other bug fixes. The download size of this beta update will be in 106.5 MB. Still the Essential didn’t confirm the exact release date of Android Oreo stable version.
