AT&T pushing BlueBorne and KRACK Wi-Fi fix for Galaxy S8 Active

AT&T wireless is now sending out new software update for its S8 Active rugged smartphone. The update is rolling out through OTA that includes october month security patch, KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability fix and patch for BlueBorne issue. The carrier has officially confirmed this update by publishing the release notes on S8 Active support page. According to that page, the build number of this new update will comes as G892AUCS1AQJ2.

S8 Active BlueBorne & KRACK Fix Update

This firmware weighs in small size 77.9 MB. After installing this update the security patch level of your device will be updated to October 1, 2017. It’s just a security update so it will not delete any personal files from your handset. To download this OTA the user must connect their device to stable network and also manage the battery level above 50 percent. Otherwise it may lead to the installation errors. User can also check for updates manually from Settings > Software update > Check for Update.
