Xiaomi India has released a new software update for Mi Max phablet smartphone. It brings the android 7.0 nougat update for this device. According to the official forum, the nougat update arrives in the version of MIUI V8.5.1.0 NBCMIED. Notice that the latest firmware is coming as Nightly update i.e. first it will release for random users and contain bugs. After receiving feedback from users they will fix those bugs and release the final or stable version publicly.
The nougat nightly update weighs in 1.4GB and available to download via regular OTA. This update includes new features and optimizations like individual app lock for dual apps, content hide on lock screen notification, smarter CPU allocation strategy, lock screen messaging improvements, adds switches to search results common settings and more preloaded options.
The mi forum also suggests the nougat update is available for Mi Max 32GB storage model. If you’ve interest to join in Nightly build then check for the software update. To manually check for update go to Settings > About phone. If it’s available for your device then install it and share your feedback on official mi forums.
