Honor 9i getting August 2018 security patch update in India

Honor 9i this handset was launched in October 2017 and its one of the good mid-budget available in market. Recently Huawei has released the EMUI 8.0 based Android 8.0 oreo update for this device and also rolling out the regular security patches. In this way, now the manufacturer has released new software update for Honor 9i India units. It just brings the August 2018 security patch for this device to improve the system security furthermore. The company also posted the security bulletins list of August 2018 patch on their official page.

This firmware will update the build number of this device to RNE-L22 8.0.0.324. Apart from this august patch, it doesn’t carries any new features or enhancements for this phone. This security update for Honor 9i weighs in 124 MB and you can download it either using WiFi or mobile data. It also opts the users to install overnight and immediate update options. Huawei assures this update will not delete any of your personal data, so you can install it without any fear. Suppose if you didn’t receive the automatic OTA update means, you can check it manually from Settings > System > System Update.
