Samsung Galaxy SIII Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Software Update

Sprint announced rolling out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean to Galaxy S3 owners and the update will be downloading and install through waves itself. Sprint Galaxy S3 owners can now access to all the new features packed into Android 4.1 Jelly Bean including an updated Notifications Center and Google Now. This Notifications Center allows users to browse emails, texts and social media iterations more easily. Google Now, perhaps one of the most ambitious additions included in Android 4.1, which aggregates some terms such as traffic, weather, sports scores and more, and it presents all the information for users to easy-to-read format.

Samsung has also included a few tweaks to give the new operating system a better feel on the Galaxy S3 and LTE functionality. For instance, Samsung modified the camera app on the device to give users a few more options. One of the new features added to the camera includes live filters that can be used on images and video recordings. It makes recording easier than ever thanks to a new pause and resume feature. Galaxy S3 also includes an Easy mode to a touchscreen device which makes user feel like a flip phone.

For instance update , go to Settings>About phone>System updates. That should trigger the phone to ping Sprint's network, searching for an update.
