The flagship from OnePlus was announced as the 7T only last month. But it seems that the next OnePlus flagship is already be under development. The latest leak comes from TrueTech in the form of diagrams and schematics obtained by an unnamed source, showing off the alleged design of the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro. Let's take a closer look.
What we can see here is a set of renders that are over a month old at this point, showing designs identical to these diagrams. The overall design of the phone resembles a slightly tweaked OnePlus 7 Pro with some key differences.
If we take a look at the rear of the schematics of OnePlus 8 Pro, the triple camera is laid out in a similar fashion, added with a couple of extras. The circular cutout to the left of the top camera is a ToF sensor. It is used to improve depth sensing on portrait photos. Below the ToF, you will find a slit which is said to contain hardware for laser AF.
As per these schematics, there can be two different versions of the front of the phone. One with a single front-camera cut out of the display and another with dual selfie cameras. The renders from last month showed a single camera but things could change as OnePlus finalizes its design. Chances are the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro (we believe there will almost certainly be) could each have one or two selfie cameras, respectively. The earpiece jack is located at the top of the design.
Apart from these details, the power key, volume rocker, and alert slider placement all appears to be identical to that of the current-generation OnePlus 7/7T Pro. GSMScore is not expecting this early to see a new OnePlus soon in the next six months. We already know that OnePlus 7 Pro was launched back in May 2019. Addition to these details about OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone includes a 120 Hz display and wireless charging.
