HTC 8X Windows phone, Microsoft Brings First Update

The Android OS and the iOS were dominating the mobile phone market by continuously providing the update.  Now Microsoft has released its first OTA update for its mobile operating system. The company's attempt to fight off Google's Android and Apple's iOS in the Smartphone market. HTC Windows Phone 8X received its first update of Windows Phone 8. HTC's 8X Smartphone have received Microsoft's update Over the Air (OTA).

 The unlocked HTC Windows Phone 8X will receive the update first. There is no clear idea about the carrier based devices will receive the updates. The update is currently rolled out to international 8X devices.Windows Phone devices users have frustrated due to the drop of Wi-Fi connections when display is switched off  and handsets spontaneously rebooting .This update provides supports to phone's wireless connectivity to remain active at all times - even with the handset's screen is off.

Microsoft Brings First Update to HTC 8X Windows phone

The Update includes the feature like SMS drafts that brings relief to the heavy SMS user. Instead of deleting the message one by one feature includes the select all option to delete the SMS messages. Also the feature includes the SMS call reject.

According to the report of WP-Central “The update, called Portico, took about 10 minutes to download and for the device to prepare. Once we agreed to the update, the device reboot itself and launched into a “moving gears” mode whereby the OS was clearly patching itself. That process took another 10 minutes or so at which point the OS rebooted and reloaded. Once there, the OS did a migration of our data (in four steps). That process took another 5 minutes or so, at which point we were brought to the full newly updated OS”.
