Asus Zenfone 5z new update adds Netflix HD support

Asus has started to push new software update for their flagship smartphone Zenfone 5z (ZS620KL). This new update enables the most awaited Netflix HD support on this device. This roll out has been confirmed by the Asus through a thread on ZenTalk forum. They’ve also specified the software version of this update as 80.30.96.221.

Along with Netflix HD, this update carries the fix for notch hide issue on YouTube and tiny widget shortcut icon problem. Further this firmware update enhances the detection frequency of AI scene mode in camera app. As well as, it installs the October month security patch and solves the other issues.

Asus Zenfone 5Z users will receive this software update as OTA in batches. Because of OTA push the firmware update will take time to reach all devices. You can also check whether the software update is available in your region or not from Settings > System > System updates. Optionally you can download the OTA zip file from official site, then copy the zip file to internal storage and install it on your device.

 

Recently Asus has launched two entry-level smartphones in Indian market – Zenfone Max M1 (ZB556KL) and Zenfone Lite L1 (ZA551KL). These two handsets are now available to buy in India at flipkart retailer for the price of Rs. 5999 (Zenfone Max M1) and Rs. 7499 (Zenfone Lite L1).
