Apple rolling out iOS 11.1 with new features and bug fixes

Apple the leading brand has started to roll out iOS 11.1 major software update for its iPhones, iPads and iPods. After passing the beta test the company is now pushing the stable version for everyone. What’s new in this update? It brings 70 new emojis, security updates, enhancements and bug fixes. Emoji

New additions in emoji icons (70) like foods, animals, clothing options, mythical features, expressive smiley faces and more.

Photos

• It will fix the blurry visual issue on some photos

• It will address the Live Photo effects slow playback issue

• Some photos didn’t displayed on people album while restoring photos from an iCloud Backup

• Performance impact issue when swiping between the screenshots will be fixed

Accessibility

• Enhances the Braille support for Grade 2 input

• Enhances the VoiceOver access for multi-page PDFs

• Enhances the VoiceOver rotor actions for incoming notifications & app removal via App Switcher

• Some users reported that alternative keys not displayed while using VoiceOver with Touch typing. This bug will be fixed by this update

• Now VoiceOver rotor can able to delete messages

• The issue related to VoiceOver rotor that revert to default action in mail will be fixed

Enhancements & Bug fixes

• Now the users can easily access the app switcher by pressing the edge of display with 3D Touch

• It will fix the cleared mail notifications issue which reappeared on lock screen

• Bug related to moving data between managed apps in Enterprise Environments has been fixed

• Location inaccuracy caused by third party GPS accessories will be fixed by this update

• It resolves the settings menu issue that has been displayed on Apple watch (1st gen) app for Heart rate notification

• App icons that are not displayed in notifications on Apple Watch

The above are the lists of bug fixes and improvements that are bundled within this update. The screenshot confirms the software roll out happens in OTA. So it will take some time to reach all devices. To check for manual update just head into Settings menu and tap General option. Optionally you can also download this update by connecting your device to iTunes on PC.

On the other hand, Apple has started to test the beta 1 version of iOS 11.2. For now the iOS 11.2 beta 1 will be available for beta developers. Later they will expand this roll out public beta users.
