Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI, a reborn version of the PUBG Mobile India has been launched and published on Google Playstore for Android users. In this article, we will guide you on how to download and play Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).
After much anticipation and waiting for months, Krafton Inc is finally able to launch BGMI for all PUBG Mobile player and fans in India. The parent version PUBG Mobile was banned by the government last year along with many other apps which do not comply with the policies as per Ministry of Electronics and IT. The launch is however, only limited to Android OS users and iOS users are still waiting for the availability on Apple Appstore.
Now that the game is publicly available, you can simply search BGMI or Battlegrounds Mobile India by typing on the searchbox on your Google Playstore and download and install the game. Once installed, you will be able to start playing the game.
One does not need to look for apk or OBB file as it is always best to install the app from the official source (Playstore). That way, no malware or any unwanted privacy issues arise at a later time.
By now, you must have learnt that BGMI is basically PUBG Mobile wrapped in a new packaging with certain changes in terms of data sharing and managing which is made to comply with the local government's regulations and policies. So you will find that BGMI and PUBG Mobile are one and the same in terms of controls, gameplay and effects. There are, however, certain changes such as customizations to reflect regional sense and blood effects which are by default green in colour.
It is also learnt that players and users can migrate their PUBG Mobille data so that they may continue with their current rankings achieved. For example, by transferring your game data to BGMI, you can continue, say if you are in Crown I, when playing BGMI, to play as Crown I instead of starting all over from Bronze V.
This particular feature is however, said to be discontinued very soon so you may as well do so now while it is still possible.
While Android users are already playing and enjoying the game, it is still unknown as to when it will be available for iOS users. There is so far, no official launch date of BGMI for iOS users in India. One can only wait. But this is expected to come very soon and we are positive iOS users will also be able to join their friends within a fortnight's time.
Once launched for iOS, it will be available on Apple Appstore and you can start downloading and playing the game.
It will be hard to digest if the popularity of BGMI is not at par with PUBG Mobile. The same game by the same developer, BGMI coming as a replacement for the banned PUBG Mobile should be equally popular among gamers and fans. With majority of the features, gameplay and controls remaining the same, we expect this will very soon feature in the top downloaded free games in months to come.
